Michael Clarke, our General Manager, graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Psychology. With 40 years’ experience in the club industry, Michael’s expertise assures that The Bluffs runs smoothly and professionally. His ten years with Club Corporation of America and three years as a civilian contractor for the military’s club system in Europe provide a varied background that positions him to broaden the scope of possibilities for Bluffs members as well as manage a professional staff.
In his spare time, Michael plays tennis, reads a lot of fiction novels, paints abstracts, and goes to the movies. An interesting fact about Michael: Jim Morrison of The Doors was his first cousin.
Event Coordinator/FOH Manager
Lorie Mix- Grezaffi is a native of Pointe Coupee Parish, our neighbor across the Mississippi River. She has been with The Bluffs for more than three years. Her many years in the food and beverage industry and specialization in high end catering make her an ideal manager for our special events. Some of the events Lorie oversees are weddings, conferences, family reunions, and golf tournaments. She also manages the Front of House section of The 19th Hole and Palmer’s restaurants.
Lorie enjoys spending time with her family, and her hobbies include gardening, canning, and camping. She has two daughters, Mary Allie and Raegan, and three “lagniappe” children, Kaitlyn, Hunter, and Andrew. Lorie and her husband, Joe, believe in the homestead movement and sometimes go months without visiting a grocery store. A towering 5 feet tall, her staff affectionately addresses her as Dragon.
